Why I don't eat Meat

Hello friends! I haven't posted in AGES but I'd like to make a small update! I am alive!!! Over the past little while I have been really occupied with school and choosing a new major. I also found a job and I've been saving up to hopefully go on a small trip later this summer. But today, we're going to talk about how I came to a vegan lifestyle. My story is kind of funny and strange but I hope it at least inspires someone reading this. I stopped eating meat about 8 years ago. Crazy, I know!! A very small amount of people know the real story behind why I became vegetarian so I thought I would share it on here because looking back, it sounds sort of embarrassing but I am finally coming to terms with it several years later. It all started at this summer camp I went to one year, where they invited everyone for an end of summer sleepover at the camp's community centre. My friends from the camp and I all went and we were really excited! The night's activities wer...

I'm Back

Hey guys! You may have been wondering where I've been lately since I haven't been posting as much... I've been spending the last couple of weeks preparing for school and moving houses. There are a lot of changes happening in my life right now and to be honest, it's a bit exhausting but also pretty exciting! Once I'm settled into my new routines I'm planning on revamping my blog and posting more regularly. Lots of new recipes and home decorating tips are coming your way soon! Stay tuned for my next post where I talk about why I went vegan and how you can start making the transition! Much love, Eb

Hello friends, I'm back again with another cool recipe!!! One day I found myself craving something sweet for breakfast like French toast but then I remembered I couldn't eat/use eggs. So I hopped onto Google and came across this recipe which inspired me to make these pancakes. So today, I'm comin' at you guys with a gluten/wheat free & vegan pancake recipe. That's right, this recipe uses 0 flour, dairy, eggs, or butter. *Quick side-note: I changed a few things up since I didn't have all of the original ingredients and made it into my own lil recipe! Lets begin! Oats in a Jar! (Vegan/Gluten Free)

Image
Hey everyone! I'm finally back after my hiatus and I'm happy to announce that I'll be regularly writing on this blog throughout the summer! I've been busy with applying for jobs as well as packing since I'm in the process of moving to a new neighbourhood in the city. I have also been creating some of my own vegan recipes that I want to share with you all! Today I'll be teaching you how to make Jarred Oats. This recipe is easy to make so if you're running late to school/work and don't have lots of time in the morning you can throw on the mason jar lid and take it to go! Don't forget to bring a spoon! What you'll need: - Rolled oats (the ones I used were gluten free) - Mango - Ripe Banana - Berries - Dark chocolate/vegan chocolate chips - Chia seeds - Almonds - Coconut milk - A cute lil mason jar for that Instagram worthy aesthetic! How to prepare: - Half a cup of gluten free oats, one cup of water, 1/8 teaspoon of salt (opt...

18 Things I Learned at 18

Hello friends! As some of you may know, it's finally my birthday!!! WOO!!! I'm excited to say that I've made it through another great year and throughout this time I've learned and experienced many new things which I thought I'd share with you all. Here are 18 things I've learned as an 18 year old: 1. To stop caring about what others think. In fact, people mostly focus on their own doings. If someone decides to be judgemental toward a decision you've made, remember that life goes on! It's important to embrace your own hobbies as those are what makes you unique so don't pay attention to negative comments and keep doing you. 2. How to properly do laundry. I know this sounds silly but the first time I attempted to do the washing I added bleach in by accident and ruined a couple of our new pillow cases. This is a friendly reminder to not bleach dark or coloured clothing! 3. That making choices and doing things for myself is important for pe...
